HOW YOU CAN HELP

You can help the mission and vision of this organization by donating to our cause.  Whether your donation is cash for real property, no donation is to small or too large.  Project Upward Bound is incorporated in the State of California and has it's 501(c)(3) pending with the IRS.  Our State and Federal Tax ID numbers are available upon written request.

Volunteers are also vital to our efforts to re-educated our clients in the basic fundamentals of life in areas such as budgeting, cooking, and even sewing.  Tools that can be utilized to assist them in everyday life and the ongoing effort of savings!  Additional professional services will be sought in the following areas:

  • Social Workers

  • Psychologist

  • Rehabilitation Therapist

  • Recreational Therapist

  • Experienced Case Managers

  • Experienced Program Staff

Corporate donations are just as essential.  Because the client pays NO FEES for any of our services, we are seeking corporate donations in the following areas on an ongoing basis:

  • Men's & Women work attire

  • Men's & Women work shoes

  • Men's & Women under garments

  • Work & Casual shoes

  • Accessories (e.g. belts, handbags, ties, etc.)

  • Personal hygiene supplies

  • Recreational equipment (indoor and outdoor)

More importantly, we are seeking immediate commercial space for office and intake operations.  The total approximate space required is 100,000 sq ft and a lease term of 2 to 5 years.  Space must be zoned for mixed use and should be leased to suit or other reasonable accommodations allowed.

Business as usual can not be allowed to continue.  It's time to face the facts!  Our model is not a new model, but one that has been tried and tested in other California cities and the United States and has proven very effective.  San Francisco was advised a number of years ago to adopt this model - and they refused.  They still refuse.  More that $200M a year for the past five (5) years has been spent and results are exactly the same.  It's time for change!
